Philanthropy

Fall 2018 Philanthropy: Bike Marathon

The event took place from 3pm on 10/26 through 3pm on 10/27, and Pikapp members rode stationary bikes outside on the BC plaza and raised donations from students walking by. While the weather was not very cooperative, forcing us to shut down on the night of 10/26, the members of Pi Kappa Phi woke up at the crack of dawn and continued biking! Even with the delay, we managed to raise an incredible $1500 in donations!

Spring 2018 Philanthropy: Pie a Pikapp - Dunk a DG!

At this event participants had the opportunity to throw a whipped cream pie in a Pikapp brother's face or to dunk a DG sister in a dunk tank in order to raise donations for both organizations’ philanthropies! Pikapp and DG split the fundraising evenly, and for the Ability Experience alone, we raised over $1300 in donations!

These two events helped benefit Pi Kappa Phi’s national philanthropy organization, The Ability Experience. This organization promotes disability advocacy awareness and funds hundreds of programs across the country that support people living with disabilities. Our large-scale mission is to create a community that recognizes the value and ability of all people.
